Engagys Named Finalist in HLTH Foundation’s Techquity for Health Case Study Competition
Burlington, MA – December 5, 2024 – Engagys, a leader in healthcare consumer engagement solutions, is proud to announce its selection as one of ten finalists in the HLTH Foundation’s 2nd Annual Techquity for Health Case Study Competition. This recognition highlights Engagys’ dedication to leveraging innovative digital health strategies to address health disparities and promote equity.
The Techquity for Health Case Study Competition honors digital health solutions and data-driven approaches that tackle systemic inequities and advance health equity. As a finalist, Engagys will be featured at ViVE 2025, where winners will participate in an award ceremony, a networking reception, and a learning collaborative with fellow health equity leaders.
Engagys’ nominated project addresses a critical challenge faced by multiple clients, including regional and national health plans: improving the accessibility and effectiveness of member-facing communications to bridge gaps in health literacy among underserved populations.
The project identified member-facing communications—letters, SMS texts, and emails—that posed barriers for members with low health literacy. Engagys employed its cutting-edge AI solution, Engagys AI, to analyze and reframe these communications, tailoring the health literacy level based on the member segment and comprehension levels. Engagys AI optimized the communications to enhance clarity, improve comprehension, and promote equitable health outcomes.
“Our mission is to ensure that all health plan members, regardless of their health literacy levels, can access and act on critical health information,” said Jack Newsom, Partner at Engagys. “This recognition by the HLTH Foundation validates our commitment to leveraging innovative technology to drive meaningful systemic change.”
The official winners of the Techquity for Health Case Study Competition will be announced at the ViVE 2025 Conference in Nashville, TN, in February. Up to six winning projects will be showcased on stage before peers and thought leaders in the health equity space.
